Historic Day Trip to Plymouth, Massachusetts - The Details

Celebrate MA250 and step back in time to explore one of Massachusetts’ most iconic coastal towns, without the stress of driving or traffic.

Our day trip to Plymouth, MA blends easy travel via The Commuter Rail, immersive history, and free time to explore the waterfront at your own pace.

Your day begins on the MBTA Commuter Rail’s Kingston Line from South Station to Kingston Station (we’ll provide simple, step-by-step train instructions). When you arrive, our van will be waiting to transport you comfortably throughout Plymouth for the day.

Visit Plimoth Patuxet Museums, name The 2026 Best Open-Air Museum in the Country by USA Today, where historical interpreters bring the 17th century to life. Then head to the waterfront to explore Mayflower II, the full-scale reproduction of the ship that carried the Pilgrims in 1620.

Then enjoy three hours of free time along the scenic waterfront — stroll the harbor, browse local shops, grab lunch at a seaside restaurant, or simply relax by the ocean. We’ll share curated recommendations to help you make the most of your visit.

At the end of the day, our van will return you to Kingston Station for an easy ride back to Boston — the perfect car-free coastal escape filled with history and charm.
