Great Nature Day Trip Getaway from Boston!
Living in the city without car can make it difficult to get out to nature adventures, but the Keolis kayak daytrip package makes it super easy! The pick up from the Ipswich commuter rail station by Mike and drop off at Crane Beach and subsequent pick up was seamless, and the kayak group of 7 came with two experienced kayak guides. I got to spend a few peaceful hours on the water, and got to see the marshes, the beaches and the dunes. Afterwards, Mike took me to the Clam Box where we got some great fried seafood classics – a rewarding treat after a day of kayaking! A special thank you to Mike, who was very personable and easy to talk with, and made the excursion an extra enjoyable one!
The trip was amazing. The highlight was definitely the driver (Mike) he was very friendly, on time to pick us up, and shared a bit of the history of Crane Estate. The kayak tour was great the water was calm with just a bit of a current, and we enjoyed the pit stop at the beach. We will definitely book again in the summer and if they offer Winter day trips (to ski, or other winter activities) I would book every week!
We had such a great trip! Mike, the driver, picked us up from the Ipswich Commuter Rail platform, and dropped us at our kayak pick-up point on Crane Beach. We had a great kayak trip on Castle Neck River; I am a newbie birding enthusiast, and the kayak guides pointed out osprey, great egrets, and willets. We made a brief stop on the backside of Crane Beach, and walked into the dunes, which was beautiful. After returning to Crane Beach, Mike picked us up for a stop at the Clam Box before taking us back to the train. Mike was such a friendly person! We really enjoyed chatting with him throughout the day. He also made all parts of the transportation extremely smooth.
The guides were awesome, the kayak trip was great…would have been great to go further, but I get that not all people are experienced kayakers. Definitely recommend that people bring bug repellent!
Everything about this tour was wonderful for me. People were very nice. Small group with lots of hands for a beginner kayaker like me. Early morning without crowds The sand dune was amazingly beautiful with low tide. It’s so different from other beaches, I love Crane beach! I will go back.
