In the still, Autumn afternoon, we departed from Boston, gliding from gray, urban jungle into emerald countryside, a transit bus traversing snakelike roads delivered us through dense canopied trees to Middleborough, at Benson’s Pond.

We walked silently down a two track road, tucked away from the city, on a 45 acre farm, encircled by brilliantly colored maple trees. Birds, in rhythmic flight, ruptured the bright blue sky introducing wafts of fresh air. A playful Irish Setter performed zoomies against the maple-dotted treeline, towards bogs covered in cranberry confetti. Our guide, in olive green waders, explained the process of cranberry farming and, along with other guests, I’m bearing witness.

We descended into the bog where our mind and body synced together, fully absorbed in the present moment in the cool water. We explored the open space by wading through cranberry treasures scooping, pouring, and dumping cranberries into a meditative level of relaxation.
And we breathed.
And, we relaxed.

The main point is, Keolis massAdventures cranberry pilgrimage dialed up the New England experience for us. Everyone should rearrange life’s priorities and take a day away beyond Boston to this hidden gem for more depth in your life.

And Camille… we felt cared for as she arranged all the details that got us to this destination. Great job Keolis
