The Beacon Holiday Market brings over 20 local artisans showcasing prints, ceramics, candles, apparel, ornaments, and handmade goods for all your festive needs. Support emerging artists and local businesses at this fun holiday shopping experience. It will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 8AM – 5PM. 

Grave Tidings Haunted Holiday Market

Annual Holiday Market at The Fruitlands Museum

The Fruitlands Museum Annual Holiday Market brings rustic charm and timeless New England beauty to the holiday season. Set atop the museum’s sweeping hilltop grounds, this festive market blends creativity with nature for a magical outdoor experience. You’ll find a curated selection of handmade pottery, textiles, prints, woodcrafts, beauty products, jewelry, ornaments, candles and more. While the exhibit buildings are currently closed for the season, the museum itself offers a peaceful backdrop to the outdoor market. This beautiful museum is managed by the Trustees of Reservations. The Trustees protects and preserves the historic buildings, collections, and property as a whole, while also expanding the educational aspects of the museum.

Appleton’s Five Days of Makers

Another Trustees property, this magical farm on the North Shore highlights local artists and craftspeople for five days during the holiday season. Appleton’s Five Days of Makers is a unique holiday ‘market’ in that it offers a smaller, cozier shopping experience, where you can take the time to chat with the artisans behind the crafts. The shopping experience changes year to year depending on what crafts are available, but you may find pottery, candles, textiles, and holiday decor. The farm store will also be open for delicious, freshly-made snacks, as well as the opportunity to pre-order baked goods for the holidays. This is a free event, happening Tuesday, December 9, 2025 through Saturday, December 13, 2025, between 2PM – 6PM each day. 

The Trustees of Reservations manages over 120 properties in Massachusetts, including farms such as Appleton, museums like the aforementioned Fruitlands, beaches, woodlands, and historic homes. HollyGay Market

Returning for the 5th year, the annual HollyGay Market fills Warehouse XI in Somerville with bold, colorful, festive fun. You’ll find one-of-a-kind art and handmade treasures made by LGBTQ+ makers and queer-owned brands, and fabulous drag performances throughout the day. Expect incredible energy, fun photo ops, and a truly inclusive holiday atmosphere. HollyGay Market takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 12PM – 6 PM; admission is $5. 

Olde-Tyme Holiday Village

This beloved annual event takes place in the heart of Fairhaven’s historic district. The beautifully decorated historic buildings provide a stunning backdrop for artisans, vendors, and crafters lining the streets.

Local businesses, churches and community centers will also be open for seasonal shopping, entertainment, and fun activities for all ages. You can find everything from handmade ornaments and knitted goods, to live music, seasonal bites, and even costumed characters from holidays past! The Olde-Tyme Holiday Village combines heart-warming nostalgia with small town charm. This event is happening on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10AM – 5:30PM.

The winter solstice is the shortest day/longest night of the year, representing a time to reflect back upon all that has happened in the past year. It also marks the time of fresh starts, looking forward to renewals, growth and new beginnings in the coming months.

This holiday market invites you to not only shop for the upcoming holidays, but listen to indigenous music, make an indigenous craft, participate in traditional dances, and welcome the return of longer sunlit days. You’ll find beautiful, one-of-a-kind crafts such as fine art, beadwork, carvings, testing, jewelry, and traditional crafts. You’ll also find reasonably priced treats from JP’s favorite food vendors and free art activities for the kids. A glittering European-style winter village comes to life in the form of Snowport Holiday Market. One of the most well-known holiday markets in Massachusetts, it includes hundreds of small businesses which are set up inside of wooden chalets, offering everything you’ll need to check off your list. Find artisan candles for your mom, adorable holiday decor for your bestie, and gourmet treats to eat as you shop!

You can even warm up with a festive glass of mulled wine or cup of hot cocoa. Embrace the cool (pun intended) winter fun with bowling on the “curling lanes” and admire the dazzling light displays. Snowport Holiday Market is open seven days a week through December 28, 2025 (closed on Christmas Day). General admission is free.
